a little about me…

 

The greatest part of my job is interacting with those on the other side of the camera. Laughing with and engaging people is how the true personality can be captured shot after shot. Purpose, sentimentality, sorrow, elation, dismay, surprise, and delight emerge as people let down their guard and allow the camera to capture the soul.

 

I will never forget being given my first DSLR camera many years ago. Discovering ‘portrait’ mode, I was off and running, taking pictures of everyone! As the designated church photographer for every event, I found willing models (especially children at Easter egg hunts and for Santa photos).

 

Through the years, I have grown from a passionate hobbyist to a professional family and wedding photographer.  Through classes, working with other photographers and continual exploration, my own unique style has emerged, in portraiture as well as in macro and landscape photography.  I am an ever-continuing student of photography and people.

 

My goal and greatest joy is to capture the precious moments of your life in a way that brings all of the beauty and authenticity forward, embracing you in the moment time after time. It would be an honor to partner with you during your memorable events and daily life.
